Novo Futuro Association promotes on October 13th the “Tozé Brito (De) Novo” solidarity concert, which will take place at Altice Arena, at 9:30pm.

All the proceeds from the show will be donated to the association’s mission, which takes in 75 children and young people at risk in eight shelters located in the municipalities of Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra, and Gaia. This tribute includes the participation of more than a dozen Portuguese artists: Ana Bacalhau, António Zambujo, B Fachada, Benjamim, Catarina Salina, Joana Espadinha, Miguel Guedes, Mitó, Samuel Úria, Selma Uamusse, Rita Redshoes, Tiago Bettencourt and Tomás Wallenstein, and the special participation of Helena Coelho, former member of the iconic female act Doce.

The concert pays tribute to one of the greatest and most productive composers of Portuguese music. The album “Tozé Brito (de) Novo”, edited at the end of last year, brings together several names of Portuguese music in a unique interpretation of Tozé Brito’s most famous compositions and productions. Now it will be presented for the first (and only) time live at the Novo Futuro Solidarity Concert with performances by the various artists that make up the record.

Inês Murteira, president of the association, says that “For over 20 years we have been putting music at the service of solidarity and, in this way, contributing to the construction of a new future for the children and young people of our association. This project is a unique opportunity for us to continue working towards the sustainability of Novo Futuro and ensure the protection of the most vulnerable.”

Throughout several editions, great names of Portuguese music have already passed, such as Paulo Gonzo, Carminho, Ana Moura, Cuca Roseta, Mariza Liz, Tim, Rui Veloso and many others who are now part of the history and solidarity project of the Association.
