Biography

Teófilo Sonnenberg, known in the music industry as Berg, was born in Angola, grew in Oporto and lived in Switzerland where he recorded his first album at 15 years old, with his band, Pacemaker.
He returned to Portugal and joined Rui Veloso’s band, also collaborating with other artists in their albums, such as Boss AC, Rita Guerra, Nuno Guerreiro, Pedro Abrunhosa and GNR.
In 1999, Berg launches his first solo album, “Berg,” followed by “Mundo” in 2008.
In February 2014, Berg won the Portuguese version of “The X Factor”, which made him dedicate himself fully to his solo career and win long due public recognition.
Following this competition win, Berg launches his second self-titled album in 2014, which reached #5 on the Portuguese Album Chart.
