António Avelar de Pinho


Born in Entroncamento, António Avelar de Pinho is a musician, composer, lyricist and producer of music and television programs.
He was one of the founders of emblematic Portuguese bands, such as Filarmónica Fraude and Banda do Casaco.
He worked at the Valentim de Carvalho company where he produced and wrote for artists. He also worked as A&R at Polygram records.
It was during the 80’s that he started writing for television programs, among them “O Tal Canal” hosted by portuguese entertainment star Herman José.
He wrote and produced several musical projects in all the records of Avô Cantigas, Joka-“Tudo numa boa”, 3D-“Vai Na Tua Onda”, Vasco-“É Boa Onda” among others.
For television he wrote “Camilo & Filho”, “Camilo na Prisão” and “A Loja do Camilo”, huge successes in Portuguese television.
In juvenile literature he wrote “Num Beco Sem Saída”, “Quem Roubou o Arco-Íris? – among others.
